Samosir, 18 March 2024 – Regal Springs Indonesia (PT Aqua Farm Nusantara) has provided assistance in the form of a water hyacinth chopper machine to the Food Security and Agriculture Office of Samosir Regency, which was directly received by the Head of the Food Security and Agriculture Agency, Dr. Tumiur Gultom, SP., MP, at the local office on Wednesday (13/03).

Community Affairs Manager of Regal Springs Indonesia, Agam Junaidi Sinaga, explained that this assistance was given to support the government program of Samosir Regency in reducing water hyacinth in Lake Toba.

“This donation is part of the company’s efforts to support cleanliness and environmental sustainability in Lake Toba. Currently, there are 3 units of chopper machines that we have provided. Hopefully, in the future, collaborations like this can provide even better positive value for the environment and the community around the company’s operational area,” said Agam.

Dr. Tumiur Gultom, SP., MP, the Head of the Food Security and Agriculture Office, also expressed appreciation for the assistance provided by Regal Springs Indonesia. “Certainly, the presence of this machine can maximize the farmer groups who will utilize water hyacinth as raw material for compost fertilizer,” said Tumiur.

This program has been implemented by Regal Springs Indonesia gradually. Last year, two units of water hyacinth chopper machines were also handed over to the Environmental Agency of Samosir Regency.
