Regal Springs Indonesia Supports Regional Economic Growth through the 2025 North Sumatra Innovation and Investment Week

Medan (August 20th) Regal Springs Indonesia (PT Aqua Farm Nusantara) once again participated in the annual North Sumatra Innovation and Investment Week (PIISU) 2025 event held at Maimun Palace, Medan. This fourth participation represents Regal Springs Indonesia’s efforts to support a conducive investment climate and economic growth in North Sumatra, the company’s primary operational area.

“Our participation in this event demonstrates our commitment to supporting the government in building strategic communication regarding investment and regional potential. Through our product, tilapia fish farmed in Lake Toba, we believe we will make a sustainable contribution to regional economic growth,” said Rudolf Hoeffelman, President Director of Regal Springs Indonesia.

He added that Regal Springs Indonesia currently employs more than 2,000 employees, the majority of whom reside near the company’s operational areas in Serdang Bedagai Regency, Toba Regency, and Samosir Regency.

“We believe that investment in human resources, supported by a conducive investment climate in North Sumatra, will open up broader opportunities for the development of the fisheries sector and local MSMEs, and strengthen Indonesia’s position as the second-largest exporter of tilapia fillets in the world,” added Rudolf.

North Sumatra Governor Bobby Nasution, who opened PIISU 2025, also visited the Regal Springs Indonesia booth. He also sampled dishes made with tilapia and provided a testimonial. “This tilapia is delicious,” said Bobby Nasution.

During this event, Regal Springs Indonesia presented various activities. Among them were cooking demonstrations of tilapia-based dishes, which are high in protein and rich in vitamin D3, as a means of educating the public about the benefits of tilapia in supporting family nutrition.

Furthermore, Regal Springs Indonesia also showcased processed products in collaboration with local MSMEs. One example was tilapia fish crackers produced by MSMEs in Toba, demonstrating Regal Springs Indonesia’s support for strengthening regional potential and encouraging multiplier economic impacts for the surrounding community.
