Jakarta (April 18) Regal Springs Indonesia (PT Aqua Farm Nusantara) continues to encourage increased fish consumption as part of meeting the community’s daily protein needs. This commitment is demonstrated through participation in the Fish for Fit program organized by the Ministry of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries.
This activity is part of an effort to educate the public about the importance of fish consumption as a source of quality protein to support an active, healthy, and productive lifestyle.
According to Ministry of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries data, Indonesian fish consumption will reach more than 26.04 kilograms per capita per year in 2025. This figure shows a positive trend, but still has room for further improvement to support food security and national nutritional needs.
Regal Springs Indonesia’s participation is also in line with government programs to increase national fish consumption, including through the Movement to Promote Fish Eating (Gemarikan).

Regal Springs Indonesia President Director, Rudolf Hoeffelman, stated that this activity aligns with the company’s mission to raise public awareness of the importance of fish consumption as a source of optimal nutrition.
“Through collaboration with the government and a closer approach to the community, we see an opportunity to encourage increased fish consumption sustainably,” said Rudolf.
“Activities with sports communities, such as this Hybrid Race Competition, serve as a means to encourage the public to adopt a healthy lifestyle through the consumption of nutritious foods, especially fish, balanced with regular exercise,” he continued.
Rudolf also explained that tilapia fillets, one of Regal Springs Indonesia’s flagship products, have a high protein content and are beneficial for the body. A 100-gram serving of tilapia contains around 20 grams of protein, which plays a role in antibody formation, muscle recovery, and supporting increased immunity. This content can also meet around 30–35 percent, or the equivalent of a third of an adult’s daily protein needs.
Meanwhile, Erwin Dwiyana, Marketing Director of the Directorate General of Strengthening the Competitiveness of Marine and Fishery Products (PDSPKP) at the Ministry of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries, stated that collaboration between the government and businesses is key to expanding the fish consumption campaign among the public.
“We appreciate Regal Springs Indonesia for its support of this event. This collaboration is expected to strengthen the fish consumption campaign, serve as an effective promotional tool, and expand market access, especially in the premium segment,” said Erwin.

The Fish for Fit event itself is packaged as a hybrid race-based fitness competition that combines strength, endurance, and teamwork. In addition to the competition, the event also features various educational activities and fishery product promotions, targeting both urban and sports communities.
Through this collaboration, Regal Springs Indonesia affirms its commitment to continuously supporting increased fish consumption while providing a sustainable source of quality protein for the Indonesian people.
