Ingredients

Ingredients:

  1. Regal Springs Indonesia Tilapia Fillet: 200 g
  2. Cassava, chopped: 300-400 g
  3. Carrots, chopped: 150 g
  4. Lime juice: 2 tbsp
  5. Salt: 1 ½ tsp
  6. Ground white pepper: 1 tsp
  7. Garlic powder: 1 tsp
  8. Coriander powder: 1 tsp
  9. Granulated sugar: 2 tsp
  10. Bouillon powder: 2 tsp
  11. Roasted ginger, crushed: 4 cm
  12. Roasted galangal, crushed: 4 cm
  13. Lemongrass, crushed: 2 stalks
  14. Bay leaves: 2 leaves
  15. Lime leaves: 3 leaves
  16. Nutmeg 1 piece
  17. Cinnamon stick 2-3 cm
  18. Cloves 5 pieces
  19. Cardamom 5 pieces
  20. Green onion, sliced 25 g
  21. Celery leaves, sliced 15 g
  22. Broth 1500 ml

Spice paste:

  1. Red onion, boiled 7 cloves
  2. Garlic, boiled 5 cloves
  3. Walnuts, roasted 15-20 g
  4. Cumin, roasted ½ tsp
  5. Onion oil 50 ml

Additional ingredients:

  1. Vermicelli/sohun noodles
  2. Chicken eggs, boiled
  3. Fried onions
  4. Chili sauce

Instructions

  1. Cut the tilapia into pieces, marinate with ½ teaspoon salt, ½ teaspoon pepper, garlic powder, coriander powder, and 1 tablespoon lime juice. Marinate for at least 5 minutes.
  2. Prepare a blender, add the ground spices. Blend and set aside.
  3. Bring the broth to a boil, add the blended spices and herbs. Cook for 5 minutes.
  4. Add the cassava pieces, stir and cook over medium heat for 10 minutes.
  5. Next, add the carrots, salt, ground pepper, sugar, and bouillon powder. Cook for 5 minutes.
  6. Add the tilapia, scallions, celery, and lime juice. Stir gently. Cook for 5-6 minutes and turn off the heat.
  7. Remove from heat and serve with the garnishes.
