Ingredients

Ingredients:

  1. Tilapia fillet: 200 g
  2. Lime: 1 piece
  3. Salt: 1 tsp
  4. Ground pepper: ½ tsp
  5. Red chili peppers, whole: 30 g
  6. Green onions, sliced: 25 g
  7. Boiled eggs, peeled: 3-4 pieces
  8. Tofu skin, sliced: 4-5 pieces
  9. Galangal, crushed: 4 cm
  10. Ginger, crushed: 4 cm
  11. Bay leaves: 2 pieces
  12. Lime leaves: 4 pieces
  13. Cinnamon: 2 cm
  14. Nutmeg: 1 piece
  15. Liquid coconut milk: 1000 ml
  16. Palm sugar, combed: 30 g
  17. Sweet soy sauce: 3 tbsp
  18. Seasoning: 1 tsp
  19. Onion oil: 5 tbsp

Spice paste:

  1. Red onion: 8 cloves
  2. Garlic: 6 cloves
  3. Large red chilies: 3
  4. Candlenuts, roasted: 3
  5. Coriander, roasted: 2 tsp
  6. Cumin, roasted: 1 tsp
  7. Turmeric, roasted: 3 cm
  8. Lemongrass, white part: 2 stalks
  9. Old kluwek, peeled: 3-4

Instructions

  1. Cut the tilapia into pieces, marinate with ½ teaspoon of salt, pepper, and lime juice.
  2. Heat the onion oil, add and sauté the ground spices until fragrant.
  3. Add ginger, galangal, bay leaves, lime leaves, nutmeg, and cinnamon. Sauté.
  4. Pour in the coconut milk, stirring gently. Cook over medium heat until boiling.
  5. Add salt, palm sugar, sweet soy sauce, and seasoning. Stir gently.
  6. Add the boiled eggs and tofu skin. Cook over medium heat for 5 minutes.
  7. Next, add the tilapia, spring onions, and red chilies. Stir gently.
  8. Cook over low heat for 10-12 minutes. Turn off the heat.
